Decluttering is all about the editing process—making intentional decisions before styling and system setup. Instead of working side-by-side with our organizers, this service anticipates your needs without requiring all of your attention.

You don’t need to pre-organize or buy anything before we arrive—just have an open mind and be ready to make decisions about your belongings. If possible, avoid major tidying so we can see the space as it truly is. We’ll bring the plan, the process, and the energy—you just bring yourself.

If you or a loved one is dealing with a hoarding issue, it may be helpful to bring in a mental health professional or a hoarding specialist. Although Sort & Style can help sort through sentimental items, paper files, and unwanted items, a serious hoarding condition needs professional help outside of organization.

Working with a certified organizer will hold you accountable to your organizing goals, you will receive expert organizing advice throughout the process, and we manage your piles so you can focus on the actual decisions. You will be coached to recognize what is important to you and how to sustainably discard that which no longer serves you.
